Say there was an update tomorrow, how would you know what it covers, and how would you be able to mitigate against it?
Answer: you couldn't. Either develop a long-term strategy, or play it day-by-day

seo is now like a stock price...
goes up when theres no update and goes down when there is...
which is opposite to Google Stocks price...
if they dont release a new update, Google stock prices will decrease...
thats why you cant blame them when they roll some updates

Good is still busy in detecting Sape!! which was ruling lot of competitive niches for a while, looks like lately they got slapped. anyway dont worry much about their mess, from last 2 years they are always mess in giving penalties for nothing. Follow BHW and techniques and think less about long term SEO you will be fine!!!

You must not be optimizing very many sites, b/c the SERPs have been VERY sensitive and chaotic lately. No new animals yet, but they've rolled out multiple updates over the past 6 weeks.

With all the latest updates they've been piling on this past summer, it's odd that someone would ask if they're going to do another one. They pretty much slam them out sporadically mainly to keep everyone on their toes.
What really sucks is that there's been so much collateral damage from real sites doing real original work that it becomes more about having to be re-active rather than pro-active.
