It’s always the rich people who say “money doesn’t matter”, the smart people who say “grades don’t matter” and the attractive people who say “looks don’t matter”. It’s another way of saying “I’ve got enough of that, so I’m not too bothered by it”.
You can always riddle your brain into going against societal norms, but at the end of the day, it’s survival of the fittest, and a primal philosophy in this aspect can carry you very far.
So f*ck people who preach life is about finding happiness, or finding peace. Happiness and peace are both rollercoasters, one cannot be forever happy or forever tranquil. Build your pillars of happiness and peace through intrinsic value and material goods (if necessary), as those pillars will provide a breeding ground for positivity and personal success. A human cannot thrive in a bad environment, so get that bag, get a nice house, get your parents out of misery, and do whatever the f*** you want in order to survive in this shitfest society, because at the end of the day, you’re on your f*cking own until the day you die.
