Have you or do you plan on working on a UA changer?

I know it can be done but it appears to be a closely guarded secret.

I haven't personally looked into changing the UA on the client-side. It is certainly something that we can research though. It is easy if you're firing connections FROM a server with a headless agent like cURL, but I'm not sure how easy it would be to change this on the client-side; I suspect not easy at all.
 
I've seen it done to protect peoples affiliate accounts when using purchased traffic from companys that throw a dirty UA.

When a dirty adware UA came up, it was changed and the affiliate company saw a clean UA.

There is some HUGE potential there.

I've received a few PM's asking what the price will be once Referer Guardian is posted in BHW's BST section. The price will be $29.97 once it is posted here. The price will then slowly increase after that, just as with our other products.

Man, how you so cool? I was working on coding something that did this. But I'm crappy at it, so I'm probably going to scrap that and get this. Professional > Lex.

oldenstylehats congratulation on launching another successful product that would be much in demand... now I understand that this is obviously desired by many noobs out there who find it too hard to insert some php code into an index file, and it's great that you make it so easy and convenient... but I have a suggestion for an awesome product that would be REALLY REALLY useful to pretty much everyone involved in some sort of BH IM...

And that would be... AFFILIATE ID GUARDIAN! Yes! Now wouldn't that be awesome? Because right now if someone wants to find out your affiliate ID... they can do so with ease.. relatively... even if you use iframe and cloak the address bar link, they can still get your affiliate ID... now I know that this is something that's much harder than faking the referer... but this would be EXTREMELY popular and I would be very happy to pay SUBSTANTIALLY more $$$ for such product, I'm sure many others will agree.

I haven't tested on all browsers, but you could effectively do something like this with Referer Guardian, though, at the end of the day, if someone really wants to find out and knows what they are doing, they will *always* be able to find out your affiliate ID if it is being passed along to the browser. At some point in time, their browser has to connect to your affiliate link for you to get credit.

I'll make sure to include a guide showing how to do this in the instructions that come with Referer Guardian.

I suppose it is possible, but with Thanksgiving (and related traveling) next week, pretty unlikely. Initially, it was going to be released next Thursday (ON Thanksgiving) because someone (me) is horrible about the dates of major US holidays.

I'll post here and email the announce list if that is going to be the case.
 
just for the record here, iv been helping olden with coding and testing on this, and well... its another bhz product guys, do i really need to keep typing? signup already if you have a use for it on your sites, its as simple as that lol
 
I paid for Wp Guard + Ref Guardian previously. With regards to the product, I'm sure it will deliver.

What DOES set this apart is the INSANE support and great after sales provided. Olden was very patient in going out of his capacity to help me with any problems i had with the product etc.

I recommend this to anyone remotely interested. Looking forward to 2nd Dec or earlier (I Hope! :))
 
I've just confirmed that we'll be including geoip targeting and easy link rotation along with Referer Guardian 1.0. It'll be redundant for those already using WP Guardian, but not for everyone else.

Is this more than just a double meta refresh?

Can you offer more information on how it excels over a DMR?

DMR is for blanking and doesn't work very well with modern browsers that have security features that stop them from being forced to send an empty HTTP REFERER. Referer Guardian is more about cloaking/changing the apparent source of the traffic, which is much more acceptable to most companies you'd be pushing traffic to than a blank referer. We'll have a blanking option available, but the idea is to create a second "white hat" webpage that it appears that traffic is coming from. This will lead to less questions about traffic sources in the long run than simply blanking the referer.
