RefControl & Live HTTP Headers Addons

These two tools for Firefox:

HTTP Live Headers;
Shows connections, redirects etc.

RefControl;
Allows you to fake the referring URL.

May I ask what is the use of the above two add ons, I've searched Google and read what it is they do.

I understand HTTP Live Headers displays the headers of a website, and refControl allows you to spoof where it is you've come from (the site before) but could someone please give me a working example in terms of SEO (black or white hat) on how either or both these tools are used in work or browsing, and to what degree ie. The usefulness of the data, or the reason for these tools being used?

About HTTP Live Headers
Its only gives you info about what your browser is posting so nothing to do with SEO
But its useful if you develop bots for blackhatmethods. As this tool tell you what your browser is posting so you can easily get the parameters and field names of what you need to post using a program.

No idea about RefControl
