Reducing Bounce Rates from Aged Email Lists – What's Working?

Lately dealing with some high bounce rates from aged email lists. Tried a few big-name verifiers but results were inconsistent—either missing traps or flagging valid emails.

Started testing a tool called PureChecker recently. It shows real-time progress, handles bulk lists fast, and so far the accuracy looks solid.

What are you guys using these days to clean big lists before sending?

We don’t clean lists since we generate our own lists first and filter them beforehand. IMO creating your own quality lists is far superior.

aged lists are always a nightmare. most verifiers struggle because email providers keep changing what triggers bounces and old emails decay fast.

email verifiers like zerobounce and neverbounce are the go-to options for most people but yeah they miss stuff. millionverifier is cheaper and decent for basic verification. Veriurge works amazingly well even with larger lists if you're on a budget.

the real issue with aged lists isn't just verification though - even valid emails will mark you as spam if they haven't heard from you in years. better to re-engagement campaign the verified ones slowly rather than blast them all at once.

for seriously old lists sometimes it's cheaper to just build fresh. verification tools only tell you if an email exists, not if the person still uses it or will report you for spam.
