What type of site are you running? High bounce rate is not that big a deal for some affiliate sites, as you want to get them to click your affiliate links and buy as soon as possible.
Here are just some methods that I've used to reduce bounce rate.
First, I made really long blog posts.
Second, I would break up the blog post into next page segments.
This way, the user would have to click next page to see the next chunk of text.
The third approach is to make sure that the viewer is always in suspense at some level or other.
Maybe the previous page got them all excited about a particular development on a later page.
Once they get to that later page, they get what they're looking for, but they are also excited about something else at another page, and so on and so forth.
As mentioned by a previous poster, you also might want to interlink your posts so these other posts add value or context to the materials you are discussing.
It's always a good idea to mix things up in terms of video and infographics.
Video is particularly good in keeping eyeballs on a page.
The downside to video is that a lot of people don't stick around.
The good news is that those who do, tend to stick around quite a long time.
To solve this problem, you might want to use initial pages to get people excited about the video and then drop the video.
This way, the people who actually land on the videos stick for a long time.
If you do this properly, you can increase your website's overall retention rate dramatically.
Quality content, videos, tits, comments, like 10 "click next" pages, cool infographics, more tits, related posts, etc..
