Redirection in SERPs and Linkbuilding

Hi,

I am doing SEO for a website wich got xx.domain.com in the serps.
If you click on it, you get redirected to domain.com/xx.
To which URL am I supposed to build links?

If a 301 redirect is being use for redirection it does not matter too much, however if it is a 302 to retain rankings you need to build links to the second page domain.com/xx
