Redirecting Spammy Domains for their Traffic

Hello All,

I have several expired domains that are spot on for the traffic they would bring to my site, exact niche.

The issue is that they have been spammed to death.

Is there a way to redirect the domains safely to my site or does the spam follow the redirect?

Could I just clone my site and redirect all these expired domains to the cloned site?

I think the goal is to AVOID a 301, as the spammy site could pass along penalties to the money site.

301 redirects backlinks, anchors and penalties as well, so what you are trying to achieve is a recipe for catastrophe.
