Redirecting Expired Domain For Indexing

I have a couple of tier 1 links that are not indexed. I just bought an expired domain with some backlinks, I am now redirecting traffic to the link page.

Is this a good method for indexing?

I bought the expired domain for other purposes, but figured I'd give this a test, then move on to my project for the expired domain.
