Redirect to main domain or make a one-pager

Hello,
so I checked that a domain that was bought by someone else (mycity.mybusiness) became available. I was wondering could it be ranked high in uncompetitive niche as the exact terms are often used in search engines. Also should i build a whole new site on it or can I just redirect it to my .net domain?

you're searching about how strong an exact match domain can be,
it can be kind of helpful for low comp keywords, but don't expect or rely much on it,

if the domain has some good links pointing to it, you can redirect it to your domain to pass some links juice
otherwise, you have to use it to build a new website, then you'll have to handle 2 separate websites

that being said, don't move your website to this domain and redirect the old one as you might risk your current ranking,
you can get the same possible boost of this exact match domain by couple of good links
