Hey so I did try to search for this because i remember seeing this topic in a thread but i couldnt dig it up.

I'm just now fully starting in IM but I would like to start with spending as little money as possible...because I know that you dont necessarily have to spend $$$ to make $$$.

So i was wondering if i buy a domain (.info or .com) with a product's name on clickbank etc...can i redirect it to the product's page? like freeiphoneforyounow .info and then it redirects you to where the product is sold. I know this can be done but I'm wondering if it's OK with clickbank? Also, would you recommend this or would it be better to personalize the website myself?

And another quick thing...would you recommend to start off with clickbank or click2sell?

Appreciate the help!

Yes, you can I have done it myself... ClickB@nk haven't complained about it so, I guess it's cool with them... :)
I would recommend to start with CB, they offer thousands of products that are highly valuable, so that affiliates like yourself can easily sell them.

you could full page iframe it aswell here's a link to my post about that:

No problem with that.

I think I read somewhere in their FAQs that it's illegit. So are hoplink image links (set a 1 pixel pic and as image source put your hoplink) and iframe redirects.

However, that's theory. In practice all 3 methods work, w/out any probs.

1 thing you should ask yourself, though, is why bother? You won't rank anywhere on SERPS, and if you want to drive traffic from PPC and social to your site then redirect (or iframe) to the vendor site - why not use your hopling in the first place and get directly to your destination? It's not like users who reach your productsite.biz then redirect to productsite.com will ever remember they came your way, or that you'll get any links to you.

It seems cool having your site with the product's name. In practice the rewars are fewer - much better posting a review site.

Cheers,
Brad

ugh ok so...i have website boomshakalaka . info and i make it redirect to boomshakalaka . com ? hop=username ... is that fine? You think the ?=xxx will drive ppl away from buying or something?

Keep in mind 99.9% of people on the net aren't looking for your hoplink. I wouldnt worry about it unless you're promoting products to other Im'ers.

As for the redirects, I've done that for years and never had a problem. The way I see it is if the product has a killer sales page, why use a landing page and lose prospects that you could just send straight to the source?

On the other hand, if the product has a shitty sales page you probably want to use a landing page to pre-sell it as much as you can. I do this with software products that just have a huge "DOWNLOAD NOW!" button that looks scammy. And make sure you're reading the sales copy of the products you're promoting before you start promoting them. Personally, I prefer to run a small scale test on everything I promote to be sure it converts.

Ya only today when reading this thread I read the Hoplink FAQ at CB: http://www.clickbank.com/hoplink_faq.html
I don't understand here what the heck they are saying in the 11th question: what happen if i use illegit hoplinks.
I have been using hoplink images and redirect for a long time. Anyone experience any bad thing about it?
