redirect - how long it could takes?

The redirect was made almost two weeks ago from one landing page to another, but the old result still appears in the SERP, while the new one ranks lower. What's your experience with this? How long does it take for a redirect to fully update? Both pages have been crawled multiple times since I implemented the redirect.

Two weeks is definitely longer than you'd *expect*. I've seen redirects update in a few days, but other times it can drag on for a month or even longer. The fact that both pages have been crawled multiple times is good; it means Google knows about the change. My experience suggests things like the age and authority of the old page can impact how quickly it disappears. Also, how clear the redirect is (a 301 is better than a 302, obviously) makes a difference. I'd just keep monitoring it, maybe double-check the redirect setup is 100% correct, and give it a little more time. Frustrating, I know!
 
I checked the redirect landing page through GSC again and noticed that the "referring page" is set from the same category. However, when I opened this page, I did not see any internal links to redirected page. I think I removed it after making this redirect. Does it somehow affect the current situation?
 
It takes anywhere from 200ms to 6000ms to do the redirecting. Check out the waterfall! After that, the page loads in a thunderbolt's blink of an eye!
 
Factors such as the age and authority of the old page can affect the speed at which the old page disappears.
 
It can take weeks for Google to fully process a redirect, even if both pages are crawled. Have you checked GSC for issues or tried manual indexing? Also, is it a 301 or 302?
 
Most of the time google take weeks to fully index redirect pages, either way you must check gsc for kind of error in your redirects.

Are you sure the 1st page got recrawled as you're stating?
Did you remove the page of the redirect?

Usually, you want to set and keep the first URL redirecting to the second,
Then wait for g bots to recrawl it, follow the redirect, and replace it in the SERPs,
That should take a single crawl/recrawl, if it's getting recrawled multiple times as you're stating, there's something technically wrong

It can take anywhere from a few weeks to a couple of months, depending on factors like the crawl frequency and the authority of the pages involved.

Even though both pages have been crawled, search engines can take a while to process the change and adjust rankings.
