    Hey folks,

    quick and simple question:

Can you redirect a URL which you register with godaddy.com (or another cheap hoster, just need a as cheap as possible URL to redirect) to another URL without actually having hosting?

Example: I register url123.com with godaddy, do not buy hosting, but want it to instantly redirect to url789.com

    Thanks.

Yes, just go to your domains you'll find the option.

For anyone reading or curious about this, it is called a redirect. And typically you will want to do a "301 redirect", as this will send over the most link juice to your domain and tells google your domain has permanently moved to the new domain.

Yes i do this, and if you need to verify your site for example on youtube or somewhere else, just get free hosting at hostinger and after that change back the original nameservers and go for redirect.
