Redirect from google image frame

Hello. I have a keyword that ranks #1 on images.google.com. It has about 14000 exact monthly searches (for that image). Unfortunately, this keyword will show an image on top of google and users will only view the image by clicking on it and not visiting the site. I loose about 7000 visitors per month this way (assuming CTR for position 1 is about 50%).

Is there a way to redirect a user to my site when he or she clicks on the image on images.google.com? To break out of "frame"?
I know that sometimes ago this was possible. But now?

Any ideas?

Hmm I have also a gallery site that ranks mainly with google images, however all the traffic goes to the image page and not to image frame.

What platform do you use?

I use wordpress.

The problem is that the traffic is not going to the image page, but users just view the image on images.google.com, they don't even click thru to my website, so I'm kind of "losing" visitors.

is there a way to escape from this "frame" on google? I hope you get what I mean.

I think I know what you mean but there is no way to escape that since that is a Google image attribute that you can't modify. So your only option is to make your pictures look curious enough so that the user wants to see more of it.

Yes, used to use similar script, it's just few lines of JS. Looks like it's linked above but if that doesn't work just google it, or search here as I know it's been shared here before...

Tried the above suggestion, but when clicked on my image in google search it did not redirect to my site...
tried googling too, tried few other plugins, but no luck. Maybe google fixed this and will not allow to break out of google image search page....

I don't think there is much you can do except for using the image in a way that better serves your needs.
