Hi guys,

I've got a new payment processor that makes it difficult to embed tracking code into their checkout page, however I still need to monitor it.

My idea is to have my "buy now" button link to a webpage on my site for 5 seconds, and then redirect to the checkout page. The "5 second page" will say something like - "please wait will we transfer you to our secure blahblahblah". Can anyone help me out with the coding for this?

Thanks :)

Great stuff, put it to use and now Google is seeing the conversions:D thanks!

meta redirect or js redirect like this:
<script>
window.setTimeout('window.location.href=google.com',5000);
</script>

If you wanted, I could throw together a little swf file that waits however many seconds you want, and then it takes it to whatever url you want. It's super easy, just embed it in your page and the actionscript takes care of the rest, if you would like that just let me know and I'm happy to do it for you.

I wasn't after any blackhat methods, so a simple meta refresh was all that was needed :)

Anybody seen a difference in conversion after forcing a potential customer to wait 5 seconds before going to payment page?
