Redirect 301- Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger

Actually is all about FASTER ie. how to make 301 redirects work faster?

Is there anything we can do to make the transition smoother and ... well.. faster?

Does creating rss feeds with the url redirected (the old one) and submitting it to rss agregators helps?

How to help/force Google to react faster to 301?
Any thoughts?

The same way you would try to get a website indexed. Submitting RSS feeds and pinging it should do the trick.
