Redirect 301 and Indexing

Hi guys I have a site currently indexed by google (domain1.com) if I do a 301 redirect to another site (domain2.com)... site using redirect 301 (domain1.com) will continue to be indexed by google?

I need because I want to acquire the pr of domain2.com at domain1.com...

If the domain1.com is still deindexed acquires the same pr fo the domain2?

If you have a PR site indexed in g00gle: domain1.com and you 301 redirect it to another indexed site domain2.com, both will still remain indexed. The domain2.com will not necessarily gain the same the PR as domain1.com and having a high PR domain does not equate to better rankings.

uh what?.. no... 301 = permanently moved. So basically you are telling Google; this site on domain1.com has gone to domain2.com... google will drop domain1.com from the index over some time...

Hi,

when you redirect your domain, let google know about your redirect...

In your webmaster tools you can google tell what is your new domain.
First you must add the new domain at webmaster tools and confirm the new domain. When you are sure that the new domain is confirmed than make the 301 redirect with the .htaccess and tell them google in the configuration part that you have moved domain1 to domain2

And looks too how many backlinks go to your subpages and redirect them to.

In theory, yes, but in practise, not necessarily true:

True. First, set the preferred domain in GWT, then do the 301 redirect.

Let me explain better:

I read in this forum that if I make a 301 redirect from my site (domain1.com with PR0 for example) to a site not my (domain2.com PR8 for example) in the next Pr update my website (domain1.com) will have pr8 ....(even if briefly)

My question is:

If I make 301 redirect from my domain (domain1.com) to a site not my (domain2.com) my site (domain1.com) remains in the google index or not?

and if not will remains the pr will still be passed to my site (domain1.com) or not?
