Is this a big bomb? Does Reddit threaten FB or tiktok? (Personally, I think reddit is more for technology lovers than for the general public)

Their target audience is very different. I do not think FB treats reddit as competition.
If they IPO, I think they will have expansion plans. so it will probably be a very competitive competitor

Fixed it for you.

I think, there is room to make money from reddit IPO, but not for long term.

no it doesn't threaten them at all.

When your company is maintained by thousands of unpaid, unvetted moderators who actively seek to destroy the platform (e.g. API shutdown) when changes are made to ensure profitability, investors must tread carefully.

Reddit is the best social media site honestly. I prefer forums, but between those social media networks, reddit and twitter are the only ones with real value.

Absolutely not. Both facebook and tiktok are far more popular.
Though reddit has a potential to be very profitable for it's investors if they don't push it and ruin the network (highly likely).

IPO changes nothing & isn't even the finish line. Employees can't profit from this IPO till their stock lockup period expires in I think 6 months and then they are allowed to sell if they want.

Reddit has never been profitable and is under tremendous pressure to turn a profit. They will continue to pressure any free promotion or spam and push people into spending on advertising. If and when they turn a profit the pressure continues every quarter to grow & return larger numbers. There is no stopping or going back.

There are many good reasons reddit is valued around 7 billion compared to facebook valued at 1,295 billions & google at 1,898 billions. Reddit is not even close to the big boys.

I don't think so most of the people on facebook or tiktok don't even know about redit and is not something they are used to, interfeace and how to navigate the site I see reddit as theck, daily activities kind of forum, I don't know but not as a social media never.

exactly. On facebook or tiktok, I only see people dancing without any real value

Many users or accounts owner on Reddit are more mature than other social accounts because they always exposed/surf any new link posted.
Reddit users are not lured by widespread junk information

Reddit isn't profitable and with AI will lose a lot of strength. Less people will need to use it to get answers.

AI only uses available answers, it cannot think or come up with creative answers or novel ideas. Discussions and asking for opinions are the main goals for social networks to develop, so I think that AI does not have an advantage on social networking platforms. AI is only really strong enough to replace specialized jobs like drawing, coding or accounting.

Reddit is the future, they can not replace it, FB is so old I don't think anyone uses it anymore
