Reddit Votes

Why not pay some guy cheap money to build you an account with high posts and let that advertise your site if credibility is an issue here? I think a major part of the doubt is that it is posted by new, low post accounts.

by the way the things that go viral on reddit tend to go viral across the web. After reddit, facebook and twitter came on board and my server melted down from all the traffic.

I made a video on how to put liquor in sealed water bottles.

I put it on Reddit and had another forum vote it up. Got about 20-30 votes before actual reddit members started upvoting.

I ended up on the FRONT PAGE of reddit with 1500 votes.

Ended up getting 300k youtube views, ebaums and entensity picked me up.

20 days later I am sitting on $900 in adsense money.

You can use use automation to help frontpage on Reddit but it is very hard for several reasons.

1. Reddit is very good at detecting automated activity and will very often 'ghost' bots. A lot of finesse and discretion is required when doing Reddit bots to make sure the network isn't detected. For instance you will probably need these bots to write real comments at some point so they get karma. And spun comments aren't going to do the trick, they need to be comments actually worth upvoting.

2. People who use Reddit are very good at detecting when something seems contrived and you'll get downvoted to oblivion if there is even the slightest hint that you are manipulating votes.

3. If your content is not really really good you'll get 4 downvotes for every 1 upvote you buy. If your content is not really really good to begin with your network of bots will not be able to keep up with the real Reddit users that will be punishing your article.

There is really no replacement on Reddit for really really good content. Automation will help you a little bit, but the cost of using just automation to get to the frontpage is prohibitively expensive.

And if you are doing any sort of manipulation I would recommend having friends upvote using their real (and active) accounts, not bots.
