Reddit users are degenerates!

I have advertised a free ebook in reddit comments for a long time now (always offered value to OP and then suggested the book as a helping resource, my comments are often up-voted to the hundreds, I have even gotten gold). The user has to enter their email to get the book.

I have done ok but then I got a "superfan" who started posting under my every comment that this is a spam comment, mocking me and calling my book a shitty scam book (even though it's not).

I used burner accs for commenting, changed url-s in comments etc.. he always found me. He even made a huge sub ban all outgoing links (think 1-2 mil sub) due to me. I started blocking him on all the accs I comment with.. then he made public posts about me in the biggest subs where I commented, telling nobody to click my links or get my book (calling it shitty scam.. even though it wasn't, again - I had people thanking for me for the book saying it was awesome and one copywriter even emailed me saying that he really liked my book and it's even too good of a free value to give away).

He then publicly discussed with a mod of one of those subs on how he can share all the links I use and give tips on how to block me out. THE DUDE DIDN'T EVEN PARTICIPATE IN THAT SUB. He was mostly in.. drummroll.. r/incelexit sub user.. I ain't shitting u guys.

Now.. I have used my ESP for a year.. I have under 0.02% spam reports and under 1% bounce rate and around 25% open rate. All good and healthy.

Today I got on my dashboard "Sending messages and exporting contacts are suspended" and that the quality of my list is being checked.

I get on my email the following reason:

"We have noticed your recent mailings have generated an abundance of spamtrap hits, reported to us by third party spam monitoring organisations; it appears that your broadcasts have reached several hundreds of recycled and/or mistyped addresses, indicating issues with the contact acquisition process."

I am 100% sure that that FCKING DEGENERATE fed my email lander spam trap emails to get me suspended.

How low can you go? Why does that guy have such a hate boner for me? I am amazed.. truly, a FCKING DEGENERATE!

I'm truly surprised. Some people have a lot of time to hate others in the world.
Have to tried to reverse engineer the user? Like finding about his online presence?
 
You never know with some people what triggers them.

But it sounds like he has some real issues since he got all that fuel to come after you so hard.

Have you tried contacting him ?
 
I had the same issue with an a*** in reddit which caused me to get banned from more than 15 big subs and losing the trust of many subscriber, reddit is full of haters for no reasons
 
It is really hard understand these people. Why trolling an honest and harmless person trying to do a non-harmful business. I am sorry that you got suspended because of that mf hater.

Consider getting into contact with him and tell him that you will take legal action if he doesn't calm down. 99% he will back off. If he refuses then sue his a$$. You have all the proof that's needed right with you. It will be an easy win.

Find another way ;)

People find patterns, so it's easy to recognize you are advertising an ebook.

Find other ways to do so. YT videos, random article in a site with a link to your site, etc.
 
Feel sad about what happened to you. Seriously this would be too crazy if I didn't read from you. Reddit seems so crazy
 
Tell him you have recorded his ip through your website and you are going to sue him for what he's done to you
 
Reddit is pretty much useless, they made it very hard to promote anything on it... even with aged acc's ur links get removed
 
Some of these degenerates are going so far to report moderators for monetizing their own subreddits that is why Reddit will never be profitable as a site because you don't allow content creators make money off their content which encourages them to create more content.
 
People are reporting and following me on reddit constantly. Over few years that I've been doing reddit stuff I have learned that things like that are inevitable, you just can't avoid these people, as they don't really have anything else to do in their lives. Simply continue doing what you are doing and ignore them or start downvoting every comment they make.

Not sure how to fix the other issues, but for this you could just use a verification service that would tell you if the email is valid or not. I would just have it run on the back-end, and not display an errors on the front-end, so this person could just keep wasting their time.

A service like neverbound (there are cheaper alternatives) can do this on the fly with an API. Change domains and keep going at it.
 
I swear this won't happen if you are promoting an adult services. That forum is truly full of degenerate.
 
Thanks for all the supportive words guys/gals. Fortunately the ESP was reasonable and after showing my "sales funnel" aka.. how and from where I get my mails they just removed 1500 or so emails from my list that were inactive.

I have made a backup of my list so even if I do get banned from ESP I still have my list.

I can't sue this guy.. I can take action if he tries to publish my true identity but thus far it seems that he doesn't know it.

I already am in action to develop other sources of getting long term traffic from Reddit as well as short term. With Reddit you never stop innovating!

Reddit is an awesome way to get traffic, feel free to dm if you want to share tips.

As for dealing with people like that, you could contact reddit support and pursue legal action or dox him and get his info/address/etc
