Haven't heard anyone talk about this here yet so I'll bite the bullet

Reddit now requires age verification in order to see NSFW content

They apparently only store the info for 7 days and then the data is deleted (photo id / selfie photo). PS: you don't have to keep verifying every 7 days

Funny enough, you can verify simply by estimating your age from a selfie

matter of time before reddit replicates FB, require facial recognition, and your ID.


i bet they still keep some part of that id, its too valuable to delete it, if they can sell it off.
 
That's wild-didn't expect reddit to go full ID check mode just to view NSFW, curious how strict the selfie scan really is.

No, you don't need to verify your age for every NSFW content, you just need to do it once.

They will probably keep more than just DOB too :D
 
UK bad government, corrupted that’s why this happened, they need fix their system before doing nonsense.

This means nothing except UK proxies will be less used esp for OF marketing.
 
Someone tried to go through verification with AI selfie or fake picture of ID?
This verification is a formality or real KYC?
 
Solves nothing. If not Reddit, or a major porn site, then people will just find other ways of trying to get what they want, which unfortunately means that bad actors who intentionally circumvent legislation will start gaining more traffic.

Prohibition is not a solution and it doesn't work.
 
X just started doing the same. All porn is currently suspended on their site. They will add some type of age verification/estimation as well
 
they rolled it quiet. age scan via selfie is live in UK NSFW locked til u pass. no ID needed if u pass face estimate, but hit or miss. prob scraping biometrics lowkey tbh. vpn don't bypass it either if ur acc geo'd to UK. another wall for botting too. I guess we won't see a lots of UK accs for sale as it used to be

for X it isn't just UK. I'm in asia and all NSFW is also suspended
 
Yeah, i saw that too. Kind of wild that just a selfie can be used to guess your age. Hope it doesn't get abused.
 
LOL this is very bad. uk is falling into a trash country

just use residential proxy for any other country and you should be fine

it seems every country is currently doing ti now too, us, europe,,etc. its all happening at the same time. and its a pretty good guess which adversary(currently in conflict) is behind it though.
