Reddit shadowban

Has anyone else experienced an unusually high ban rate on Reddit recently? I've lost two accounts in the past month, and I'm not sure why. Everything seemed in order – clean proxy, good username, accounts warmed up, fresh content, and no spam. But both times, after posting an 'about me' post, my account got shadowbanned. Any idea why this is happening?

Same device as the original banned accounts? Something in your process is connecting them.

I'm using the same device, but with anti-detect browsers. Even if they could link my accounts to the same device, wouldn't they have banned them right away? I mean, my accounts usually last for at least 1-3 months. Both of my accounts were banned after I posted 'about me' content, and these posts were different, of course.

No they won't, they are doing bans randomly so you're having a hard time figuring out ban reasons.

Maybe they were flagged because they detected proxy usage, and bans comes at random times...

The fact that YOU THINK everything is in order doesn't mean it actually is. Example:

- You say "no spam", but maybe they have a different definition of spam than yours. Maybe something in your behavior is raising red flags.

- You say you're using a clean proxy, but are you 100% sure the proxy is clean? Unless you created it, you can't be 100% sure. What? The person who sold it to you told you it's clean? Is that it? Well, people lie.

- "Fresh content". I don't know what "fresh" is. Maybe i'd find it rotten, but i can't give my opinion because i haven't seen it. You think it's fresh. But do other people think it's fresh too? Because other people's opinions actually matter more than yours in internet marketing. They're the ones who decide whether or not your content is fresh, not you.

- "accounts warmed up". Really? Maybe they aren't as warm as you think. You're not part of Reddit's team. You don't know their secrets.

The point is, there are a million reasons you may have been banned and we can't even begin to speculate why without seeing your accounts and what you did.

Absolutely, something must have gone wrong because I've been banned twice, and obviously, I'm missing something. That's why I'm asking here, as it's clear I'm making some mistakes that lead to these bans. When I say 'no spam,' I mean I was only posting 1-4 times a day, without using "deceiving" titles, at different times throughout the day. And by 'fresh content,' I mean that I never reposted the same thing.

I used proxy providers and checked the IP score with 3-4 different tools, and they all showed zero fraud scores. Nobody knows exactly how the Reddit algorithm works, but before I started promoting my content, I tried to be as smooth as possible. I engaged in sfw + nsfw subreddits with comments, text posts, photos and so on, and gradually increased my activity over about 20 days before promoting the OF.

But what's really confusing me is that I got banned right after posting my 'about me' posts.

Ok, so you got banned because of it. It sounds like an ad.

See what i'm saying? You think you did nothing wrong, but you clearly did. Reddit doesn't want people walking around promoting their shit. It's a red flag and they no longer care that much whether or not you're violating any rule. As soon as you sound like a bot, you're a bot. You do sound like a bot in that message.

As you can see, it's perfectly clear why you got banned, but in your head, you did nothing wrong. So, it's not that the system they use is super advanced. It's not. You're just being too obvious.

got it...thank you very much for the help...I've seen many accounts using this kind of posts with "salesy" speech without any issues...is it their age,karma etc that adds some trust?

I wouldn't say "many issues". They eventually get banned, and those who don't, probably have been doing it for longer than the current policies have been in place. But regardless, it's just a bad practice.

It's the new Reddit's update, the whole market is in the mess. I am struggling to find a working account, many sellers gave up for now and many are selling flagged accounts that will be shadowban very quickly. It's a big problem and it will take time to find a new working method.

- Maybe Reddit just updated -> they can detect you're using anti-detected browser and link all of your accounts

The device probably gave you away

Try using the web interface, no mobile, different browsers

Some people lose 10k accounts, daily.

That doesn't matter. They're worthless.

They have nerds working there, so you need to know bans are inevitable.

Recently the bans have increased. But usimg 4g mobile ips can help especially , you just need to make sure you swap IP before loging with new new account.

I thought this was only on my side but it looks like its a big issue ..another thing is they filter most of my posts i dont know if its the moderator or its reddit them selves
