Hi everyone,

I have a quick question. I have a main Reddit account (3 years old with 97 karma) where I created a community about 3 months ago. I've posted around 80 messages there, which might be borderline illegal, and they rank well on Google.

To avoid getting my main account banned, I decided to create a new account (4 karma), set up a new community, and post my first message. However, the post was instantly deleted, and the community was taken down as well.

I'm wondering if there are any specific rules about posting frequency. For example, is it safe to post 10 messages a day on an "aged" account without issues? And why does this approach not seem to work with a new account ?
It's more about the age or the karma or both ?
Should I keep posting on my main account? I haven’t had any issues in the past 3 months, so does that mean I’m unlikely to face problems in the future? :)

I'm not very familiar with how Reddit works, so any advice would be appreciated.

Nop no interaction at all between them (both account are not banned, just the community and the message of the fresh one)

That's strange. Maybe you triggered the Reddit's stupid ban bot somehow. Create a totally new account, untied of the existing ones, and start it from the ground.
 
You need to warm up new account before spamming to avoid instant ban. Create account, dont use it for few days, log in after few days upvotes and do other stuff like this. Avoid creating posts, go for commenting.

Can I get ban if I post too much links ? :)
 
Did you make the account on the same browser/phone and wifi that you use your main account on? In this case Reddit links those two accounts together and knows that they're run by the same person... Like other members here mentioned, you can't just post links on a new account. You need to gain a decent amount of post karma before being able to do that without getting banned.
 
To open a new subreddit new accounts you need to meet the mininmal requirement
Just google for it the requirements are not high
If you account doesn't met these requirements first your post will get deleted or not published and later the subreddit taken down

What you need is regular activity before proceeding with posts. And yes, an aged account will have a better score but still can be seen as suspicious if it starts to post right away after a long time of inactivity.

If you get a steady flow of traffic from that sub I wouldn't risk to post more of that barely illegal content, as some Reddit filter might catch on it. Just try creating more subs from other accounts, but before the build, get some serious regular activity going on on those accounts so they seem less suspicious when about to create a sub and start posting.

It's a different browser as the main account (Chrome/Brave) I took VPN to create the account last week but forgotten when posting today -_- so it probably the link like you said, thx

You're welcome, I would highly suggest using an anti-detect browser and a high quality proxy in the future. Most VPN providers are easily detected so try to avoid using VPNs. I've had good luck with proxy empire rotating residential proxies.

There are internal rules. You just don't know about them.

You get banned because your behavior was flagged as bot-like. You don't just create an account and start a community.
 
either that second account got banned for suspicious activity I mean you went immediately to create a community or for spam because you copy paste from your main account either or that was fast, did you used a different device or something for the new account because that could also be another factor.

I tought Reddit was easiest as all worked fine for my main account
I didn't paid attention of what I didn't know could happen, now I know!
Oh by the way my main account is shaddow banned lol but all link from my community are still ok so everything isn't bad and life goes on

use anti-detect browser, it will save you a ton of time, or create your own profiles manually the same way anti-detect browsers do it
 
maybe someone reported your subreddit.

happened to someone I know and his subreddit was sfw, no spam, no selling
 
Better make a new account with mobile app and vpn. The chances of getting banned will decrease dramatically
