Hey guys,

After getting some static residentials subnets banned I'm moving to something better. I've read rotating residentials could be an issue, so I'm biting the higher costs and switching to mobile proxies.

The seller I ended up purchasing GBs can either lock by City or by ASN - not both together. I can lock ASN by country but not city.

I'm worried switching from A&T to Comcast between two browser sessions will lead to raising flags...

Anyone has experience with this? In this case what would be better - city or ASN lock?

If you are connecting from the same city then you're less likely to raise red flags. I'd suggest starting with one account and running some tests

Lets say you use your laptop to browse reddit.

- connect via your mobile
- connect via home wifi
- connect via starbucks wifi
- connect via moms wifi
- connect via workplace wifi
- connect via VPN you use to do X

Every of those places might have different connection, different city reported, different ASNs.

Hard for me to understand where from logic that changing city/asn is a flag at all.

People travel too you know, what if a person travels from NYC to let's say Paris, France. Instant ban?

you can either use sims or anti detect browser and 4g proxy for the best
reliable outcome

How often do you often travel across different countries every single day? Sessions are 30m sticky at most, so if you log in twice during the day you're in for a problem.

Also I'm talking about a 4G mobile proxy, so it's not related to a home wifi or a starbucks wifi... It's about several kinds of mobile carriers. How often do you switch your mobile carrier?

I think the point of the question flew over your head? Otherwise I don't get your reply at all.

What kind of 4g proxy. Residential? Datacenter? Mobile?

I use 4g proxies - Reddit recently started banning my static IPs, probably because of high subnet usage (it's just my theory but it's what makes most sense) so I'm looking to switch to something with a better quality and looking to hone the details.

How about business accounts managed by multiple people, where team works abroad?

You should think less then. The point was absolutely clear to me, sorry that I did not expand my previous answer long enough so it would be easy for everybody to understand.

You should worry more about your subnets and IP's being clean, not that they change.

Anyways, get normal 4G proxy and depending on carrier it can stay same IP for days and/or it will match the same subnet.

Or get residential proxies with your mentioned 30 minute sessions and just set the ASN match.

p.s. 4G proxies are mobile only, there are no residential or DC based mobile proxies. Some residential proxies have mobile IPs in their pools but DC mobile proxies doesn't exist, they are glorified ISP proxies and should be avoided unless you know for sure what you are doing.

Thanks.

I'll explore that avenue as well, thanks.

Ideally in your situation, you would want to use a proxy linked to a single 4G modem which would, by its nature, lock you to the same ASN and city.

If that isn't possible, in my opinion, the ASN lock is preferable. Even when using a single 4G modem, when it rotates IP within it's ASN it's possible that each IP received can have quite a different reported Geo IP location despite the fact it is not actually moving. For this reason locking to an ASN would most likely resemble normal device / network usage and is less likely to raise any red flags.

Meanwhile if you're locked to a city and were jumping between 4G providers every session - I imagine this would look more suspicious.

That all being said, this is based on speculation on how Reddit flags IPs etc and there is no real replacement for testing. Hope that helps though!
