Hi,

So I want to do some marketing - create backlinks, share info of my site etc.. on reddit. But I don't have any experience/ideas on how to start. Have never done it before although I have two accs. with a few posts and a few months old. All these subreddits and etc... I feel its very different from other social media platforms. Any suggestion/tips are welcome. Also are there any free bots out there?

Whatever you do, don't even post anything spammy at all. Reddit is a very fickle community.

other than reading, reddit favorite hobby is downvoting, if you make any kind of medium-bad quality post, or you trying to be smart, you'll see the sky raining downvotes, there are skype upvote groups, but if you post trash content, you are most of the time screwed, keep your self professional and aim for good content only.

Reddit is a bit of a hard community to spam.. but good luck with that and let's hope for the best

If you have an old enough account you could start your own subreddit, post all your links there, then send tier 2-3 backlinks to those links.

Reddit is more for real viral content marketing than traditional (unless you got a cool invention like the jet hoverbooard). Coming from that view, do you think you will get any traffic or "linkjuice" from Reddit?

Posting non-spammy links in the upcoming MMO Gaming niche is really the only category you can sneak through with medium grade blogs.

In terms of how to post elsewhere, giving away links to popular authority properties easily adds value to your overall account which always boosts survival.

I have seen this system work slightly in the weed based subreddits. Not sure about your niche though

Seems like all the pot makes them more tolerant to spam, as I even have gotten praise after doing reflinking in the post. Never have I tried it somewhere else as I normally see it go down in flames if someone does.
