It is the key : Stay under radar
1- Don't overdo it,don't let have over post on the top of the subreddit at the same time,specially if the surbeddit is small.
2-Use multiple accounts to make submissions . If you use the same account to post the same domain,you will have the risk of having your account/domain banned on Subreddit/Reddit
3-When you submit your targeted domain,make some random posts so your account wont look to be self-promotinal

This is exactly what I found when I used to use Reddit. I think your karma comes into play as well; so you want to post things and comment in a way that will garner you a few upvotes here and there (DO NOT PISS ANYONE OFF.) Also if the stuff you are posting actually is decent it should get upvotes... if your stuff sucks it's really an uphill battle tbh

Reddit is harder to play nowadays, and they suspend accs like crazy.
Looks like they have 0 tolerance on spamming now, but its also good if ur content is in quality.

Reddit went through a phase where it was just getting swamped with really messed up content (I'm not even talking spam per say, just like... sick shit) so they overreacted and went mod-crazy. A lot of subreddits were getting shut down left and right over hateful content, other stuff I'm not even going to mention but use your imagination, etc... so a lot of subs now take a (perhaps overly) proactive approach and mod mod mod like fucking crazy.

Reddit is mighty effective but it is also very tricky. If you just use it to promote your blog/videos/channel, you will surely be blocked from sharing your stuff in particular sub-reddits and you may even end up getting banned from reddit completely.

It's hard to get websites to stick, you have to be more coy about how you promote your product. They like to stay on their own site - so posting interesting articles or tutorials won't work. They also readily use adblock, so forget about trying to make money with ad revenue.
The easiest and best way is to bribe a moderator in a popular subreddit - it's cheaper than Reddit ads and believe e that a lot of moderators are flat out corrupt and will reply back to you with their set rate ( they might even have a roundabout way off platform to ask you to pay them).
A lot of the big subreddits have mods who's entire living comes from bribes for letting content stick.
You can find people who have connections to these mods in BHW.

why does that not comes to anyone surprise - as soon as a platform gets some popularity and power it get corrupt MOD's everyone want to make money now a days, can't be surprisingly to anyone.

Sure - but it's incredible how flagrant it is in some cases.
The community is usually very good at calling out spam & affiliate links. They're also very trolly so they're willing to go the extra step and report people who do affiliates and get them banned.
I wouldn't mess with Reddit, in the same way I wouldn't mess with *****.

I've been approached by mods before for payments for some of my personal projects. It's why I keep client and personal projects 100% separate with nothing connecting them. Admins have actually become more responsive when it comes to mods profiting off of their subs, whether directly (pay me to leave this link up) or indirectly (promoting their own websites). You about have to literally act like a 100% natural Redditor to get some things to stick. Unless you're already a mod in a large sub, then you can slack off a bit with new accounts.

Does Reddit traffic really convert? I got to find out the reddit members are made up of lots of teenagers and university students and graduates, most of which have not much purchasing power.

Certain products work really well on Reddit, especially those to do with Tech or Gaming.
As I think the second poster alluded to, the main thing with reddit is to stay below the radar. Post a variety of things and use multiple accounts so that your never hammering one account or subreddit too much.

I run a small subreddit but it's growing (slowly but surely) and I get plenty of spam.
Do marketers really think their shitty links will stick on my small subreddit? Be creative, if you include good content and a link to your site as a source then most likely I will let it pass as it gives value... but link dropping - spamming... no thanks.

Reddit ads are the worst, they still need to figure out various things.
If you are using reddit ads, there is an option where you can target a specific subreddit. use that.

Could I ask how are you making it grow? My website is not spammy it actually offers good information but most of the subreddits I’m part of don’t allow promotion. What would you recommend? Any advice would be helpful!

I use crossposting to grow subreddit.
Post stories and comments and link to other websites to make it more natural.
