I feel you! I've had a similar experience lately. Reddit bans accounts left and right, even when you're extra careful. Tried multiple browsers and proxies—nothing really helped, accounts rarely last more than a day or two.
they started banning the word luigi, ive been hearing on another forum(not reddit) that luigi was getting them perma ban, so reddit has a political and financially motivated motive to censor political subjects: turning into a right wing cesspool. additionally they have been issuing warning against violence upvoting, like never heard any Social media do this, its the aftermath of MUSK complaining about a sub that alleged violence against him and teslas.
they included 2 new things to ban, and they are all politically motivated, luigi and violent upvoting. they do nothing about RW content though or russian trolls(sort of)
Honestly I don't think they'll leave the restrictions as tight as they are right now. I would bet over time they will get enough complaints to lessen it back up at least a little. Not saying they'll go back to the way it was but right now I feel like making an account as a normal user requires research on not getting banned. I don't think that will last.
Yep I agree. But even without all the account creation restrictions, Reddit is too complex and time consuming with their sitewide and subreddit specific rules and a business owner who wants to promote on Reddit doesn't have time to deal with all that. I feel the business opportunities will continue to grow as it's beneficial for clients and providers both.
Right. With the way AI has been going lately too I'm sure it's a matter of time before social media in general gets way better at bot detection while maintaining user experience. Gotta lock in some vouched accs before that goes down.
It is definitely not really AI yet, at least not like chatgpt or something.
