Reddit - DC vs 4G - Upvote quality

Hello all!
I've been reading a lot about managing reddit accounts on the forum and it seems that reddit doesn't really care about the type of IP you use (dc, residential or 4g) as long as you don't spam or have a lot of accounts on the same IP.

What I don't quite seem to understand is whether there is a difference in quality between an upvote coming from an account running on dc proxies and an account running on 4g.
So for example, (everything else being equal) if a post receives 100 upvotes from accounts running on 4g proxies, will it have better chances of moving up to the top than if it had 100 upvotes from accounts running on dc proxies?

Any type of insight on this will be greatly appreciated :)

I have noticed that when I use VPN (and my account activity is legit/natural) then post upvotes count but comment upvotes don't EVER register. It seems they are way more suspicious in comment upvoting.

Interesting, so it might only affect comment upvotes... Do the comment upvotes from that account register when you use your 4g or residential internet?

Sometimes.. sometimes not.. (my legit account I use for every day)
 
Account and IP both matters for vote related tasks on Reddit. Sometimes even Legit clean accounts do not gets counted.
IF one can manage the Reddit accounts with good care then they might get better success but an efficient result though.
 
Managing Reddit has become a nightmare of late, I've just resorted to using 4G mobile proxies for everything, which isn't all that cost effective, but everything else a crapshoot. Sometimes accounts will work even on VPN, most of the time they'll get shadowbanned and interactions won't be counted. I thought residentials were decent, but some accounts may get IP blocked etc.
Right now I'm using 6 SIM cards and rotating IPs through them.
 
Pro tip: Log out, clear cookies and check your votes

Reddit doesn't compute activities for the IP's but they have a clever system where they show you everything you do like it worked, so you can't check results by logged in account.

Yeah, it's like 4g is becoming more and more the only option :(

I'm a bit confused on the last part; what do you mean by "you can't check results by logged in account"?
 
4G is the way to go my friend. Most of the datacenter ip don't work and will cos you shadowban.

Log out of your account and make sure everything is there on your account (posts AND comments).

Reddit has shadowbans for multiple things now, not just the entire account. ;)

Even if you account is in good standing, reddit is not registering all the upvotes. Or at least it doesn't make them all visible.

How many times did you tested the VPN/Comment thing and on how many accounts and subreddits?
 
I have spend a couple of months figuring out how to upvote without having shadowban. Created over 1k account to test.

First Rule : Don't use Selenium or tools based on selenium. Created first 200 accounts with the help of selenium. All of those got banned within a few days. NONE OF THE VOTE GOT COUNTED .


You can use tools like playwright with custom UA :) It works. Created next 400 with the help of playwright. only 60-70 got banned. Some of those still works .


Secondly: Good Quality Proxy is very important. Half of the datacenter proxies won't work. Some of the shitty ones will even cause your shadowbann. DO NOT REGISTER WITH DATACENTER PROXY BECAUSE I TRIED & GOT 60% OF THOSE BANNED. (FORGET ABOUT SHARED DATACENTER PROXY )

If you want to be serious USE CUSTOM UA, RANDOMIZED FINGERPRINTS and 4G PROXY.

I don't think that's true - that reddit doesn't care about the type of IP. With almost all social media platforms, especially when you're botting, it's important to imply that the accounts that are making the comments, adding upvotes are "real" accounts. Now when an account is constantly upvoting on stuff all day, won't it be suspicious if reddit tracks those activities and finds that the account is running on a shared, dc IP? Wouldn't it be more natural for the account to run on dedicated mobile proxies, which give a real cell phone signature and thus implying that the fake account is in fact a real user? Think about it.

I wouldn't really neglect the proxy type and quality here. I've tried running accounts on TW with dc proxies and 2 days in action, I got banned.

Got it, thank. Although I might add that I'm not entirely neglecting the quality of the proxies, just that reddit is not as strict as instagram or twitter for example
