Yes, Reddit has comment limits, but they depend on factors like account age, karma, and recent activity. If you’re posting on r/AskReddit without links or ads, you should generally be fine unless you're commenting too frequently in a short time, which might trigger a rate limit.

For new accounts, Reddit can shadowban or temporarily limit commenting if the system detects unusual activity. If you're commenting naturally and not spamming, you shouldn't have issues.

Let me know if you’ve experienced any restrictions!

For new account post 5-10 comments per day, it can be problem even if your post haven't link attached.

One tip, a big subreddit like that is stricter when you attempt to comment with newly created accounts

No reason to publish tens of comments per day, just do 5-10 and you should be fine

even on askreddit ?
askreddit is a large sub, you can easily get banned if the question tend on the controversial side, the mods are active in the sub. they were asking about movie/actors one time i was pointing out how 1 actor on oldtrek was " wanted to be the center of attention" because of trek purists see them as "do no wrong actors" and got banned. in an old acc. try a less well known sub.

just work your way up be smart about it warm up 10 a day then up it after some time

If you comment too frequently in a short period, Reddit may temporarily prevent you from posting more.

Pretty sure that's the case for some subreddits where they have a comment/post frequency cooldown of either 10 or 15 mins. If you comment/post on a subreddit that doesn't have that, you can post at intervals of less than 10 mins. Though less frequent intervals may result in shadowbans.

Keep it slow with a new account. Amp up over the next few months.

all these comments 'slow', 'be safe', etc. sounds nice but doesn't really answer the question. i'm asking myself the same question. why? automation of course. the best i can tell you. get some burner accounts and test it yourself( thats where i'm at). or use multiple accounts (seperate ip).

to get exact numbers we can only test ourself. so far 10 per day (all with link) with 1 year old account no problem.

the biggest risk i see is when someone reports your comments for spam. so make sure your comments are relevant and look natural. i use ai for this. just make it sound like the usual nerdy reddit user :)

as with everything for making money. noone would tell you their exact results they worked hard to find out.

so my 2cents: test test test

Karma and account age still matter more than exact comment numbers per day.
