must note - I used a very high karma account to post (130k), from my experience and tests - reddit does push posts from higher karma'd accounts better

I believe this to be true. I found a niche on reddit and I get a lot of high upvoted post frequently since I been there a while compared to newbies that just join the reddit

Yes, reddit is a gold mine for traffic. Main appeal of reddit compared to other social media is that it doesn't require phone number to create accounts.
