It is happening pretty often that people confuse a suspended account with a banned account.
A suspended accounts can be recovered almost 100% of the cases if you have email access. The suspended account would still give you when visiting a profile " this account is suspended " the same as if the account is banned.
However when you login in the suspended account you see a banner saying " this account have been permanenely banned. check your inbox" in that case just view the inbox and reddit would inform to reset your password by requesting a reset password link in your email.
On the other hand, the banned account when you login into does not have any banner, but when you click on the top right profile icon it give the error " we had a server error " in that case the account is banned and can not be recovered at all
Do you guys understand the difference?
The suspended accounts get suspended in 99% of the cases when you login from a different ip, it is almost normal and if you ever had a reddit account you may have resetted your password too many times so far.
So make sure to login and check your account before throwing it away and claiming is banned, as in many case is just suspended and fixeble by resetting the password
