Reddit and October?

Some threads still pull decent long-tail traffic for me, but I wouldn’t trust one good week until the query positions settle down a bit

Some maybe but I am asking about overall traffic, do you have any changes because i am around 30% down from sept

Same here! Reddit rankings were at their peak before august google's update
i don't think they are going back to like it was before

I can see very high google volatility going on from end of September until today maybe that is the cause

Hi guys, how is your Reddit traffic this October? How has the Google update affected Reddit for you?
For my side, organic traffic from Google to Reddit is definitely getting more selective this month. GG is no longer ranking every fresh low-effort Reddit thread automatically like it used to; threads in aged subreddtis with natural discussion and verified karma still hold top positions, but thin threads boosted with upvote panels are getting pushed down or deindexed fast

Reddit traffic is changing after Google's recent updates. I checked the stats for October, my Reddit traffic is down significantly compared to September, about a 25-40% drop, while some are still getting good views. After Google's October core update, Reddit is no longer ranking at the top of Google like it used to. Before, every Reddit thread was in the top 3, now Google is bringing blogs and YouTube back up. I think it depends on the niche content and the ranking of the post in Google.

Some of my old reddit posts are showing up higher in Google seearch

Some are gone b/c reddit no longer shows

I haven’t noticed any changes. I have two Reddit posts ranking in Google’s top 10 search results. It’s been two years, and they still bring me a steady stream of customers.

organic traffic from Reddit is still holding strong post-update, but GG is reshuffling which threads get top SERP spots. if u want to maintain traffic, u need to keep your target subreddits and threads warm with fresh comment engagement instead of relying on aged static posts

Pretty inconsistent lately. Some threads still bring in decent traffic, while others barely get any visibility. I think it depends a lot on the niche and which keywords you're targeting.

No changes for me, I am in adult niche. Plus the quality of traffic is better compared to last 2 months.

Traffic this October is about 15% lower for me and I saw a similar dip in my r/gaming stats on the Reddit app analytics page after the March 2024 core update lowered my post reach

I’d track referral clicks from Reddit in GA4 and compare them week by week to see what’s actually driving traffic. Has anyone noticed a clear drop since the Google update?

I can see that google volatility index is very high since the update maybe when it normalize google will return reddit positions. What do you think?

Hard to say without looking at the numbers but Reddit traffic seems worth watching after these updates. Curious if anyone here has seen a real drop in October

I've noticed that Reddit posts on Google are currently quite volatile depending on the category and keywords, but many high-quality posts still maintain top rankings.
