I agree. I remember seeing an ad for amazon product that was live for weeks.

I won't disclose the product but the more niche it is, the higher the chance of a sale. I'm also guessing he owns the product since amazon associates only pays a fraction of what you would get if you sold it on your own.

reddit sucks - even for specific niches

i targeted specific subreddits with decent subscribers... clicks and no sales...

the people on reddit are not a good demographic imo

Try to put your posts naturally inside reddit (as 'organic' content). It will drive way more traffic (if done right) than paid advertisement.

You should try using natural and original posts, it will have more effect than paying for ads.
Also, reddit is hard to book, most of ads are sold out for a month ahead, so you have to wait.
And you can start posting right away, for free
