Every time I refresh my feed, I see an ad. Every post I make, the first comment is an ad. So I wanted to know are there real companies or products running ads on reddit and getting solid returns from it?

Yes, anyone can run ads on Reddit as long as your ads or compliant with their rules.

Yes some companies get good results from reddit ads, it depends heavily on the niche the targeting is strong but the offer and community fit matter a lot.

Yes I have ADS account in reddit so I can launch it thru their ADS manager. To be honest, the last time I used it was about six months ago, and I see they have made a lot of changes since then. It is good you reminded me they exist

Maybe. Reddit is more and more about shareholder value, which is to say that the Reddit shareholders are its customers right now. Advertisers giving Reddit money helps Reddit please the shareholders, but at some point it's likely that Reddit will start to screw the advertisers over in order to squeeze out one last quarter of good growth for the shareholders. It's like the end game of enshittification.

The June 2023 mod stuff was Reddit selling out its original customers, the users, in preparation to IPO. Not sure what it looks like when they decide to sell out the advertisers.
