Reddit Ads - any advice?

Anyone using Reddit advertising?
Any tips - what works, what doesn't? My initial impression is that it could be cheap but binary: either redditors love or hate your ads, and there's a good chance they'll hate, unless you pitch things right.

Reddit's largest demographic is 18- to 29-year-old males. Reddit users are typically college-educated, Internet savvy and active on social media. It is hence a young audience who don't like to be taught how to whatever, like how to make money or how to date a girl, etc. Hence, these niches do not work well (using Reddit Ads).
Targeting such an audience is better with "how NOT to ... (whatever), in other words, with some controversial products, etc.
