The short reason why I got in to IM was because I really don't like the 9-5 grind (especially if you don't like doing it), and working for somebody else. I would rather rely on myself rather than someone else.

I got into Internet Marketing to support myself. I wanted to learn to build websites. I bought a program called "Web Page Maker", and since everyone said make a site about something you know, and I fixed computers, I built a computer repair website to play around with. When no one visited it, I started learning about and dabbling in something new for me, SEO.

I added adsense to it and started making small change. Then the house flooded destroying everything we owned except the pictures on the wall, including my car, then I lost my job because I couldn't make service calls, the health insurance cancelled and my wife had a massive heart attack, the one called the "widowmaker". She survived.

So there I was, scared to death that I couldn't take care of her, broke, no insurance, no job, no income, no car, $70,000 in debt, needing $1200 in medicine each month before even worrying about utilities and rent, and the only to make money was with Web Page Maker, a bluehost hosting account, the website with a banned adsense account, and that new thing called SEO.

I quit playing around.

And then one day I was chasing profile links and found this place.

I started because I wanted to be independent (was 15 years old, imagine my nativity). First time I searched on Google "how to make money" and I found a bunch of products that cost money, imagine that. Anyway, I went to youtube and started watching videos, honestly, I didn't understand most what they were saying and my English back then was not as good as it is now. So, after 4 month of watching videos almost daily I made my first website on blogger, copied a few articles from god knows where, was rejected by adsense and didn't had any traffic. And I found out that ClickBank does not support Bosnia, which annoys me like hell, because all the countries in the region are supported. So, I quit.

Well... the IM world is simply beautiful, while it gets more and more so through different experiences. I've joined the IM firstly based on the idea of being self-financed, then it somehow gradually grows on you, it becomes a habit... and so it is for me now, a good habit I would call it though.
