I've been watching the movie Red Dawn(1984 one) and it is so fake so far.
For one WTF is the soviet army spending so much ammo and men shooting up things at a school. Another thing is that Colorado is class 3 firearm friendly which means that you can own fully automatic machine guns there. In real life there would be lots of people with machine guns and ak47's. I dont know about the cost in the 1980's but today you can get a ak47 with 1500 rounds of military grade ammo for around $1000 in the usa. And there's criminal organisations such as biker gangs and the mafia involved in smuggling heavier weapons such as anti tank weapons(Biker gang busted in 1980's with Operation Roughrider had anti-tank weapons seized)
The movie makes it seem like people only have hunting rifles, shotguns and handguns in the usa. Even the newer one and the video game Homeland assume this, I wish there was a more realistic movie or video game about this scenario.
