Red Dawn isn't real enough

I've been watching the movie Red Dawn(1984 one) and it is so fake so far.

For one WTF is the soviet army spending so much ammo and men shooting up things at a school. Another thing is that Colorado is class 3 firearm friendly which means that you can own fully automatic machine guns there. In real life there would be lots of people with machine guns and ak47's. I dont know about the cost in the 1980's but today you can get a ak47 with 1500 rounds of military grade ammo for around $1000 in the usa. And there's criminal organisations such as biker gangs and the mafia involved in smuggling heavier weapons such as anti tank weapons(Biker gang busted in 1980's with Operation Roughrider had anti-tank weapons seized)

The movie makes it seem like people only have hunting rifles,shotguns and handguns in the usa. Even the newer one and the video game Homeland assume this, I wish there was a more realistic movie or video game about this scenario.

I at least liked the plot of the first one. The remake doesn't even use a realistic scenario. China was supposed to be the threat, but Hollywood didn't want to lose all the money they get from China, so they choose North Korea instead. Nothing against North Korea, but I don't think they could afford to pull that off.

Its also stupid that near the end one of the guys sneaks up on the spetnez guy and makes a comment,instead of just killing him. And the guy was able to shoot him with his uzi after doing that.

That damn movie was such a fucking let down. I left the movie theater wanting my money back along with all the fucking popcorn I ate to keep me awake during the damn thing. Not even remotely realistic. Fucking North Koreans can't do jack shit within their own country let alone pull off a Pearl Harbor on steroids invasion.

I don't hate on Koreans, I just hate on the fact that this movie portrays N. Korea being capable of pulling off such a ridiculous and widespread invasion. It makes no sense.

it's a movie about a bunch of American high schoolers fighting Russians in the American midwest - there is nothing even remotely plausible about any of it, which is what makes it so goddamn amazing.

Why would you think someone would call you a racist.

1. North Korea isn't all of Korea
2. North Korea has to make counterfeit money to pay for stuff.
3. There are 90 million to 100 million gun owners in the United States
4. Of those owners about 500,000 of them own machine guns.
5. Most military equipment is shielded from EMP attacks
6. The USAF already has laser weapons that can take down missiles.

Its unrealistic North Korea or any country for that matter could pull off an invasion like in the New Movie.
