Recrawl backlinks expired domain ?

Hi,

Do people here have problems with recently expired domain names?

I've bought a few and for many the majority of the links don't show up in webmaster tools. For example, I launched one 3 months ago that theoretically has 255 Backlinks 29 Linking websites and 23 DRs, only 7 backlinks and 2 Linking websites are showing in webmaster tools.

I tried to recrawl them with an indexer but nothing changed, yet some domains that point to them are very far from being spam and have a big authority. So I don't really know how to do it.

Have you recreated the pages those links are pointing to?

Also, it can take weeks, even months, before they show up in GSC properly.

This is a known issue. It can be difficult for search engines to crawl newly registered or recently expired domain names, especially if they have few high-quality external links pointing to them. This may result in fewer backlinks appearing in Webmaster Tools. Additionally, as you mentioned, some of the referring sites could also be blocked by robots.txt files or other types of restrictions.

One more thing you can try is resubmitting sitemaps or requesting reconsideration via Search Console.
