Background:
2 of sites were hardly hit by series of penguin update. With each update the rankings went down. Each site had only 2 pages.
Things what i did after the penguin
But none of them worked, rankings were down as hell.
So then i read about 301 redirect to new domain in the forum. But from the posts it seemed that penalty was passing down the new domain in 1-2 weeks.
So what i did:
And then i did few bookmarks to the new site. Its been 3 weeks and both the site are in top 10(9 and 7 precisely). So i had 70% recovery in rankings.
Criteria for selecting web2.0
2 of sites were hardly hit by series of penguin update. With each update the rankings went down. Each site had only 2 pages.
Things what i did after the penguin
- I tried adding lot of content to the site
- Build contextual links
- Buy Homepage links
- PAD Submit
But none of them worked, rankings were down as hell.
So then i read about 301 redirect to new domain in the forum. But from the posts it seemed that penalty was passing down the new domain in 1-2 weeks.
So what i did:
- Bought a new domain and setup the content.
- Created a web2.0 with 600 words content. And used 1 naked url and long tail keyword as anchor pointing to the new site.
- Then redirected my old domain to the web2.0
And then i did few bookmarks to the new site. Its been 3 weeks and both the site are in top 10(9 and 7 precisely). So i had 70% recovery in rankings.
Criteria for selecting web2.0
- It should be ********.
- The page that is created on web2.0 should have low OBL and IBL.You want max juice to pass to your main site.
- Go for web builder type of site rather then wordpress/hubpages/squidoo etc
- And don't use the direct anchor otherwise the web2.0 would start ranking.
