Recommended UK Hosting?

I am looking to for a good, reliable UK host with good support. Could anyone make any recommendations to the best UK web hosting companies?

I normally use Hostwinds and it fits my needs perfectly! I am looking for a UK host for a UK based venture, so any recommendations along the similar nature of Hostwinds would be perfect.

It largely depends what you're looking to do with the site. If scalability isn't a factor then most of the big names are pretty good. If its for a WordPress site then I'd definitely recommend tsohost - I've tried several and most, including all of the WebFusion brands, are painfully slow on shared hosting. For dedicated server projects with only UK hosting, I currently use both tso and Zen for personal projects, the hosting itself is great and the customer service is noticeably quicker compared to the bigger names. Large sites for big brands that I work on through my actual job usually run on Rackspace and your customer support with them usually lines up with how much you're paying every month/year in terms of speed and quality of service.

Also avoid eukhost.com if you plan to use Wordpress (applicable on shared and reseller ac only)

there aren't many good ones. i use kualo with no problems.

i agree avoid fasthosts!

For the majority of my UK sites I use hostgator and it does not seem to have a negative affect.
