Hi all,

Looking for suggestions on payment processors for membership sites for monthly recurring payments.

Best if they have flexible payout timings and payout methods like crypto.

Cheers

what is your business? what is your monthly volume? how long have you been processing? let me know

PayPal Standard the simplest and easiest solution to get started with and well trusted amongst purchasers, but users are taken away from your site to pay.

The payout method will be challenging.

Do you have or expect a lot of chargebacks?
What do you sell?
Depending on the answers, some banks will be better than the others

+1 for PayPal when you're starting out. This is almost always the answer.

I also like Stripe really well. It just works and doesn't have nearly all the bells & whistles like PayPal.

Its a movie streaming site, so not too sure how paypal is gonna react to that.

A lot of people saying Paypal, but I would steer clear because of your niche. They are known to lock accounts and hold funds.

Coinpayments seems like a decent option.

It totally depends on the business u do and if your users are legit
Can go with PayPal (best) or coin payments.

We already implemented coinbase commerce to take crypto, but cant find any proccessor for credit cards. Most need an incorporated business, which technically isnt possible with subscription movie streaming sites.

Makes me wonder how the big players like flixify and some others get their oayment processors from.

Just one payment processssor to support credit cards.

We saw one site using wirecard.com but with their recent scandal, applications are all on hold.

I would say stripe, good api support too.

Guys if I am opening a business in a foreign country, can I just get the payment processor from a local bank ?

Yes depending on your business and if you process only for the specific country (for instance, you have a German company, you process for German customers, you have your German bank processing payment).
If you plan to process high risk, go with a high risk payment provider.
If you plan to sell internationally, go with a more international setup and provider.
When you start to generate a decent volume of payment, go with a real payment provider.

Banks are amateurs for online payments (except some: BNPP, Sabadel, Lloyds, Chase, ING), they do not bring any expertise and will not support you if you have technical or any issue.

Thank you, but what would you recommend for high risk payment provider ? Besides Stripe if it is one.
