Hello everyone, I've been considering creating an adult website for some time, but before investing in hosting and a domain, I'd appreciate your help with some questions and any recommendations you might have. Regarding the script/CMS choice, I suggest you check KVS (Kernel Video Sharing), they have numerous great out-of-the-box features, plus their script can be customized to match your needs as your project scales up.

Coding from scratch can always be more beneficial, but it depends upon your coding skill, as with WP, though its very widely used and regular updates and security patches are released, still if you are good at it, a custom code can be more secure and you can code it exactly to your needs.
Please don't code from scratch, it is a waste of your time. Surely you have better things to do when starting a site?
If you need a ton of bandwidth for cheap check out FDCservers. I never hosted with them but they are very much pushing the "unlimited" angle in their marketing since many years and they cater to adult a lot from what I know
