Recommend VPS

Hey guys sorry to start a new vps thread but the ones i've read havent ansewred my questions. I have about 10 sites in a shared hosting account on bluehost one of them gets large surges of traffic and its causing a lot of downtime. Bluehost says that my site is not optimezed, i have restored wordpress to its default setting and deleted most of the content on the site and still have my account throttled.

I'm looking to moving all of my sites into VPS to prevent so much downtime and even running some SEO in the future. I've looked into berman hosting but their customer service is not that great, they take too long to respond to my emails and sometimes dont respond at all. This will be my first experience with VPS and will prefer to have a fully or semi managed option, although its not necessary. I'm looking to spend 30$ per month at the most.

I've actually used hostgator before but didnt have good experience with their customer service, but i would be willing to give them another chance. Although their price seems to be a bit high.
 
Maybe there's no need to go VPS, have you tried wp-super cache ?
 
yeah i've tried that. Like i said, i really doubt it has anything to do with the site itself and more with bluehost. they started throttling my sites even when there isnt much traffic. they claim to offer unlimited space but im sure they dont like that many sites running on their servers. I'm also looking into dedicated shared hosting but since i want to run seo tools and will welcome the upload/download speed improvements for videos i think vps would be the way to go. but anyone has any recommendations please let me know, i'm more interested in reducing the downtime on my sites and would choose the best option that gets it done.
 
Sure it also a good idea to have some spare bandwidth. Check the BST section here on BHW, I saw many providers here offering VPS services with very interesting specs at low budget.
 
Any actual recommendations for vps hosting companies?
 
I am currently using the services of burst.net
You can checkout there packages. They have 24/7 support and reasonable prices.

I don't think you need a VPS.

You can consider micfo.com. I have been with them since 2007.

Try their shared hosting. If that doesn't work, move to a reseller plan.

I've seen some VPS services for the same price they offer their reselling plans.
