Recommend Twitter Utility

What are some good free twitter utilities?

I am especially interested in something that can automatically delete DMs in my inboxes.

But, I'd love to hear about other great features too. So far SocialOomph is the only utility that I have used (free version) and thik a desktop client may be preferred.

SocialOomph is great but i just found it too much to pay for the monthly service. Buzzom is also a great choice & you can just go in & Flush but remember to backup your Followers once a week.
Twitter doesn't like loads of Follow/Unfollow so if you're Unfollowing only do it once (max twice a week).
As for deleting DM's, SocialOomph has the best 'Purge DM's' function & i think you can still do that with a Free a/cc.

Maybe hootsuite is a good candidate and it's free...

Hootsuite allows for free multi-account management with "scheduled tweets." I do not think it allows automation, though. I use it to schedule tweets at the moment.

Now depending on what you do, you may be able to make SocialOomph worth it. People I know doing article writing "only" easily make up the cost of the fee. The thing is you'd want a few hundred articles to cycle, I suspect, with ad revenue. Bukisa might be a good choice for that.

You could even make that account separate to pay for SocialOopmh and use your other accounts for affiliate marketing, etc. TweetAttacks isn't free, but it's useful for gaining followers. Tweet Adder is supposedly good, but you need to have it open 24/7. I don't like that, myself.
