Recommend Good Time Tracking Software

Hello,

I'm looking for the time tracking software that can even track my work. Can anyone here recommend me few?

I want to know too. I would like to know how long it actually takes me to complete a project.
 
You can use the Outlook2010 Journal - time tracking function. I use it for all my projects.
If you need to keep it more transparent for your clients then try "Kimai". It's open-source and needs to be installed on your server.
 
I'm also looking for one for Linux. There are plenty that work well on Windows (RescueTime is a web based one that I've used) but none that work well on Linux (maybe except Project Hamster but that's not really good).
 
You can try "Open Workbench" or "OpenProj", these are free project management software used for things like creating projects, subtasks, Project planning, scheduling, estimation etc. If you want more sophisticated software you can go for "Microsoft Project", it's not free though.

Does it have a version for windows xp? Because as a matter of fact I am using windows, so will help a lot if there is a version for my operating system. By the way, from your experience, Is it a good software for tracking time?
 
I think they support Windows XP. Both the software provides end to end project management system and tracking.

Well, for me, a simple way to track my time when I'm working on a task is through this time tracking software (Time Doctor) I trusted for years already. Although you can choose whatever is best for you but if you want to be sure which software doesn't use the old attendance system this blog is worth a read.
 
There are dozens of free software within Chrome Apps. However, the one we love the most and use for our people is the oDesk client. Is free, and comes with an internal chat agent, so we don't need to use Skype or MSN and waste time. But sshhh - don't tell oDesk about it ;)
 
Well I was working for a client for whom I tracked my time myself (Well trust plays a role here). I simply open MS excel and press ctrl+shift+; --> it will give you the current computer time I will save it and close..
At the time of closing my work I do the same

For date you can simply type ctrl+;
 
Have you tried Hubstaff? I really find their time tracking service really good!
 
Time Doctor is the time software which I have used but there are some other time softwares too. Some are Zoho Invoice, BillingTracker Pro,Toggl
 
You should also check Fanurio. Fanurio is a desktop application designed to help small teams and freelancers to manage their work and be paid for it. With Fanurio you can customize invoice templates using your own layouts and export them to HTML or PDF. It also has idle time detection and it can be used on Mac, Windows and Linux.
