Choose something expensive. And I am not kidding. Usually, when you pay money to the hosting company, you purchase the support, not the hosting.

100% true. Servers are servers. Machines. They work or don't. Pretty much. But when something goes wrong and when your site is down if support gets back to you in 2 days (usually with $5 per year hosting companies) or within 5-10-20 minutes. That makes a difference.

From the BHW providers, I've used the Servikus guys for a few sites over the last three years. The response to 50+ support tickets has been near instantaneous and have always been resolved, so I would recommend them.

lot's of host have support. now if you are looking for support on the Wordpress site say like links are messed up or your images are not showing most will send you back over to a developer to help with that as that is not really a hosting related issue.

This is true as well. As a lot of clients sometimes don't realize that it is not up to hosting provider to develop websites. We (hosting providers) are there as much as we can to provide support, even help with things out as much as possible but we as a providers are not obligated to install wordpress plugins, edit themes etc...
It's like one of the things, magical, "Internal Server Error" that's by default "hosting providers fault" and in 99,9% of the cases has nothing to do with us but with malfunctioning website. But it does contain word "server" in it.
