Recent Google Update Fucked Me :( What Should I Do ?

Update: I dissawoved bad links from 2 sites, result 1st site no change in ranks, 2nd site rank dropped from15 -> 65.
I will see what is going to happen in the following days and update here.

My site got hit Oct 4th, about a week ago I disavowed allot of the links, I'm pretty sure I got the problematic ones, so far no change but still too early to tell.

I disavowed all the spammy links (from one service i'd used on here and kept the higher quality ones from another service) and 301'd it to a new domain 10 days ago. Ranking has nearly recovered (Page 1 -> Page 18 -> Page 2). Granted, it may not last long, but at least it shows this 301 still works.

When you get fucked up the ass from the Big G, all you can do is use more lubricant. It won't hurt as bad.. lol

All my clients sites had no problems with this update.

Google recently has rolled out two updates named, Penguin 2.1 and Hummingbird...

We all do one mistake while going for SEO; for us, the search engine == Google, but that's not true. Bing, Yahoo, Ask and lots of other search engines are also there from where we can divert a good amount of traffic as well. While doing SEO, keep mention of at least Bing and Yahoo, apart from Google. It will keep you safe in case of any sudden search ranking drop in Google.

Well, you can't be sure in 48 hrs that the ranking has dropped really; it may get back to original position within a week or so... Therefore don't do anything in hurry. My view, wait for at least one week and keep a keen eye on your daily rankings. Hope, you may acquire a good position again.

If you don't see the site again getting the original position or at least getting near to old rankings then first of all you should check your webmasters account for Manual Webspam Actions (Given in Webmasters Tool). If you see something there then take proper action and apply for the reconsideration.

If there is nothing in Manual Webspam Actions then you should think about disavowing the backlinks. But you should understand the difference between good and bad links - there are some services which you can take help of for the purpose like Link Research Tools. Just remove all the suspicious looking backlinks (contact webmasters to remove backlinks from their sites and if no response from webmasters then disavow that backlink).

After going through this whole process, file an application to Google webspam team for reconsideration. If everything works fine then will again retain your lost position in SERPs.

Which ones?...

Payday loans and make money online....just to mention 2 examples.

I don't ever mention specific sites, but I'm sure you can have a look....some great ranks with few links.

You should push on.... I have changed my approach to IM 3 times in 6 years thanks to big G. But be sure to keep you old sites up, because what is old will become new again....

Good Luck.

I am not affected with all this google shit at all since my business model not depend of matt cunt and his team of retards but one thing is kinda bothering me.
Someone thought about how all this disavow thing is actually making a job for google much easier ? They "see" what links and domains are removed from punished domain and they easily can find other, not yet penalized sites with same backlinks like those removed with disavow tool. Basically, one webmaster, trying to save his domain removing spammy links is ratting out many other websites who used same spammy sites for their backlinks. Am I wrong ?

What kind of links were you guys using? Disavow all links are start fresh, it's usually not worth trying to disavow specific links unless you know exactly what made you drop (very difficult). Personally 2.1 helped me quite a bit.

Actually gives me a headache. Something isn't right with smiling that freaking much.

My website also ranked Page 1 and now nowhere, so I went yesterday and checked my webmastertools and 700 + domains were linking to my website. I disavowed about 400 of them. I hope I can see some changes if not, I will disavow more and try a 301 to a new domain. I will reply here if I see any changes.

hi, no need to disavow all the links in webmaster tool,
Just deleted those not found when searching link:www.yourdomain.com
While i guess it should 99.8% of all the links in your wmt
