I recently saw a thread on a guy who was getting 20k UV's daily with a 2 days old WP blog...

This is an old practice, but what does it require to get page 1-2 for something that happend...
For exmp: Ryan Dunn dead ...
Will it require many days/weeks/months of backlinking to get on page 1?
I don't think so,... if you just pick a certain event or a new game then you can cash out...

But I'm wondering about the traffic, it comes from google... but how the hell can you rank a brand new website on page 1 of google without any blasts??

So once the news hit, the most opportunistic internet marketers hit the keyword hard, with no previous competition and all content being brand new. It's not that hard to rank quickly for it with the use of regular SEO tools.

No, with events like these there's no real way to plan ahead unless you want to sit on 100+ domains in hopes of someone famous dying. The first thing you want to do is go for a domain with the exact keywords people are going to be searching. Get content up as soon as possible (via wordpress), ping the site every time you add a post with content. Get some decent backlinks, xrumer, advertise, etc. He explains a decent amount in his thread.

I understand, but let's say something happend and I buy a domain name the next day with the exact keywords people search... I do some manual backlinking (social networks, blogging, forums, ... I cannot afford SEO tools).

But if the domain name is the same as the search terms I have a lot of chance on hitting first page right? (with some good content of course)

Yes, definitely. The domain name having the exact search terms will help out immensely.

Actually this could be a savior for noobs begging for money around here... if they just invest like 20$ in a hosting and
10$ in a domain name based on a certain event (or a new game release, movies, ...) with just a simple wordpress blog + adsense (being the first is wut counts...)

With just some noobisch spam talks on blogs & forums + youtube vids (being FIRST) is what will get the visits = money...

and that would be 30$ investment or less... and they can easily make their first 100$ the first month... (SEO aint that hard, but linkbuilding without proper tools is... )

Correct me if I'm wrong...
