Since September 15, the newly published articles on my site have only received a few dozen views, whereas the earlier articles usually had 200–500 views each. I’ve noticed that the recent articles, although indexed, do not appear when searching by their titles, and a site: search shows that the homepage is missing while only the internal pages are visible. Does this indicate that my website may have been penalized?

Looks like some type of penalty on the site.

Check your new content may be violated google search engine. Check your website link out and link in.

Might be a soft penalty or crawl issue. I’d check Search Console for any manual actions or indexing errors, then try resubmitting the sitemap and main pages.

Yup! It's penalty, may be your site breaking content guideline or google caught AI generated content. i have seen many domain like this pages are indexed and homepage is deindexed then after some time new page also won't index.

Yeah, bro, it kinda sounds like your site might be facing a soft penalty or indexing issue
If your new articles are indexed but not showing up even by title search, Google might be devaluing your domain or testing content quality signals.

Try these steps:
  1. Check Google Search Console for any manual actions or coverage issues.
  2. Make sure your homepage isn’t blocked by robots.txt or the noindex tag.
  3. Review your internal linking to new articles from strong old posts.
  4. Update your E-E-A-T signals (author info, about page, contact, etc.).

Most of the time, it’s temporary, so stay consistent and keep publishing quality content

It doesn't look like a full penalty .Maybe Google isn't Crawling and showing pages properly ,check your Search console for any updates or issues.

It looks like crawl issues to me. Google has many hidden policies linked to GSC management. If your site has 404 errors, redirects, crawled but not indexed, blocked by robots.txt, etc. errors, you should stop whatever you're doing and fix them first. Leaving them like that for months might make your site less favorable to Google SERPs.

It’s probably not a penalty, but Google may trust your site less right now, so new posts take longer to show up in search.
