Just when I thought I was on a good path I got one strike after two years. idk if I should continue producing videos at this point because they will just get copyright strike randomly. would you continue?

channel is growing at 20 subs/day 450k viewers/month

Continue till you get the second strike(but try not to get it, see why got striked and try to avoid it in future videos). If you get another strike stop and let the strikes expire because with 3 strikes will get ur channel terminated

Figure out why you got the strike and make sure to check existing videos for any violations.

Also one strike alone means nothing as long as you learn from it and it doesn’t happen again. Just make sure you me videos are compliant with YT.

What do you think, got you a Strike
Why you got strike?

Apparently I used like 1 minute of clip(from a 17 minute long video) from a competitor(45k subs) of mine and they used that as a reason to oust me. Sigh so frustrating. I don't even earn money with this and they still see it as a threat. Reminds me when I got the exact same thing on tumblr a few years ago.

Why u copy others content yt is strict with its content policy nowadays
without better editing skills its too risky
ask in yt support that used them as fair use since got a strike will take down the video they will guide u better

I am Happy, that you know your Mistake.
Many a times, people never come to know their Mistakes.

Don't CTRL C+V people's videos, use the high-five method.

delete all videos that you have copied to be in safe side.
Copyright strike doesnt affect channel. I have one channel which have copyright strike and still youtube recommends videos

One strike luckily does nothing - 2 strikes, on the other hand, damages your rankings hard.

I’d leave it alone for now “especially” considering the traffic levels you have. Don’t think it’s worth doing anything else that may lead to a second strike.

This is why the only "sleep like a baby" way of making money online is with your own website.

Not that you wont run into problems there too. Like say you have a website and you sell stuff with gaypal, and then gaypal suspends you. Now what do you do? There is no real replacement, except debit/credit card, but getting a payment processor that allows you to take payments with a card isnt as easy as getting a gaypal. But still, you get to keep your website and rankings and links and traffic and brand name, find solutions and keep going.

But youtube, fiverr, facebook, instagram, youre just a guest there, and as such you can be kicked off at any moment for any reason and theres nothing you can do about it.

All of my websites are suspended on facebook. Even a blogspot i have with funny memes was suspended on facebook once, i believe over a meme where a black dude on the left is wearing a shirt that says CAT on it, and a cat on the right a shirt that says NIG*ER on it :D

I didnt even pick the photos. I just downloaded a large pack of funny memes yeaes ago, and i schedule months worth of content and pretty much the blog runs on autopilot.

Anyway, eventually facebook unsuspended the site. I dont know why or how, as i never appealed their decision.

Anyway, make your own website, best thing.

@GreenGrass2019, did you credit the uploader or at least in the video description? if you didn't, he/ she has the means to file a strike.
